Description: Integration Library/Blackboard Support
Projects: Blackboard-Library Services
Priority: 99 Task ID: 894
Long Description: We need to define the support plan for the library/blackboard integration. Support for Blackboard is transitioning from the IMC to OIT by the Fall. The second and third level support will still be IMC and CID. We need to integrate with the support tree being given to OIT.
Status: Open

Changed: 3/18/2005
3/18/2005 A number of things came out of today's meeting:
  • We need to integrate our support tree with that being developed by CID to hand off first level support to OIT.
  • Since support with OIT will be using AHD to track and resolve problems, the library will need to use AHD. At this point we're just going to have Jacob Jenson and Bill Lund have access until the point that more people need access.
Description: Blackboard Content Management as IR
Projects: Blackboard-Library Services, Institutional Repository
Priority: 99 Task ID: 814
Long Description: Track the status of Blackboard Content Management as an institutional repository.
Status: Hold

8/27/2004 Garin Granata writes: "We are moving forward with a two-month "production pilot" starting the end of September. This means we will allow a limited number of instructors and students to use the Content System functions in our Bb 6 production system. If the production pilot goes well I plan to turn on the CS campus-wide thereafter."
9/15/2004 Garin Granata, Jon Mott, Allyson Washburn, and I met. Garin is managing the Content Management pilot. The library is interested in testing BbCM as a replacement for ERes and for digital content.
11/18/2004 This project is on-going. The library is investigating BbCM for use as Electronic Reserve, an an open institutional repository, and how to link with other repositories.
2/28/2005 With all of the problems with Bb, the content management investigation has been put on hold by CID.
